From Exmouth to Kalamunda: Fighting for WA

Over the past few weeks, the State Liberal team has been working hard in and around the community.
We returned to Parliament for a single sitting to debate and pass the Ratification of Fuel, Energy and Power Resources (Declaration of State of Emergency) Order 2026. You can watch my full speech here.
Outside of Parliament, I have continued to travel around the State to hear directly from West Australians about the issues that matter most to them.
That has included a trip to Exmouth to see firsthand the damage of Cyclone Narelle, as well as to Carnarvon. I met with local growers, fishers, business owners and community leaders, and we heard directly about the impact of the cyclone on crop and equipment losses, pressures on the fishing industry, and the need to back regional jobs and investment.
I was also pleased to join The Hon. Phil Twiss MLC in Forrestfield to meet with local businesses and also meet with the community of Pickering Brook with Adam Hort MLA at the Kalamunda show.
Wherever we go, the message we hear from West Australians is the same: they’re struggling with housing affordability, the health system is letting them down, and they are facing household stress through the cost of living crisis like they’ve never seen before.
We will keep fighting to hold the Cook Labor Government to account on these failings, and for a better deal for WA.
