Pressure That Gets Results

For months, the Liberal Parliamentary team has been holding the Cook Labor Government to account for failing to prioritise what we hear matters most to West Australians - housing, health and the cost of living.
On my Listening Tour across the State, these issues are raised time and again, yet this Government finds $217.5 million for a racetrack at Burswood, and $100 million for a rugby team, while everyday West Australians are left behind.
I am incredibly proud of the tireless work of my Parliamentary colleagues, particularly our Shadow Health Minister Libby Mettam, who have stood alongside nurses, doctors and frontline health staff to expose the reality inside our hospitals.
Their advocacy, together with the voices of those on the ground, has undeniably helped force the Government to commit to much-needed health infrastructure investment last week.
That is what an effective Opposition does - apply pressure where it counts to deliver outcomes.
I am proud the Liberal Party has helped shape that public debate and contributed to securing these results.
Please watch the video in the link attached for more on this.
Over the past fortnight I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting Party members and supporters at the Como Country Fair and the Canning Show, at the Brand Division sundowner and a Mt Lawley branch event, and I’m looking forward to the upcoming Floreat and City Beach Branch AGMs in my Churchlands electorate, the Curtin Division meeting, Dalkeith branch meeting, and meeting with the Cowan Division, as well as dropping in to the Liberal booth at the Wanneroo Show and the Young Liberals AGM later this month.
State Parliament resumes this week for another fortnight, and I can assure you we will continue to stand up on the issues that matter most to Western Australians.
