As we move closer to the 2025 Federal Election, Western Australians should not forget that
despite all his promises prior to the last election, on being elected to office, Anthony Albanese walked away from WA.
That’s the only conclusion any Western Australian could come to after the betrayals and con
jobs he has foisted on our great state.
Anthony Albanese and Labor have shut down industries, ignoring workers and pushing
dangerous policies that will only cost local Western Australian jobs and livelihoods.
Let’s have a look through the treatment of the Albanese Labor Government of Western
Australia.
MR ALBANESE KILLS WESTERN AUSTRALIA’S LIVE SHEEP EXPORT
INDUSTRY
One of Western Australia’s most important industries is live sheep exports.
Yet this has been axed by Mr Albanese and his anti-farmer Labor Government.
He has shut down a world-class, successful industry that supports thousands of jobs across
regional WA.
And why? Not because of facts. Not because of evidence. But because of ideology.
Farmers, industry groups and regional communities have been pleading with Labor to just
listen to them.
Groups like Keep the Sheep, the Australian Livestock Exporters’ Council, Sheep Producers
Australia, WA Shearing Industry Association, Wool Producers Australia and The Livestock
Collective have all warned of the devastating consequences of shutting down this trade.
But then again, Mr Albanese’s own Party has never really cared for the regions, why would
he care now?
Turning their backs on farmers will only cost jobs. It will devastate rural communities and
undermine the entire agricultural sector.
If Labor gets away with this, live cattle exports will be next.
Seriously, what kind of government deliberately destroys its own farming industry?
A Dutton Government will bring back the live sheep export trade and stand up for WA’s
farmers, something the Albanese Government refuses to do.
A future Dutton Government will reverse Labor’s disgraceful decision.
LABOR’S ‘NATURE POSITIVE’ LAWS: A DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN
Mr Albanese’s next attack on WA has been his so-called ‘Nature Positive’ laws.
These were designed to strangle our world-leading mining and resources industry with
extreme red tape. While the Nature Positive laws have failed to materialise in this Parliament
due to the work of the Coalition, we all know what will happen if his government is returned
at the upcoming election.
If a Labor-Greens alliance government is elected in 2025 we expect they will bring back a
super charged version of the environmental protection bill which will cripple mining in
Western Australia.
The mining industry has made it very clear that these laws, whether they contain a climate
trigger or not, will be a major blow to WA’s economy. This legislation will mean delays and
cost blow outs for major mining projects across Australia but particularly here in Western
Australia.
Mr Albanese is very good at pretending he supports Western Australia and our mining sector but that is all just an act. Until he unequivocally rules out imposts on our mining sector
Western Australian voters should be very sceptical about what Mr Albanese says.
AND THEN THERE IS MORE RED TAPE
And while we are on mining what about the great Albanese con job that is the production tax
credits.
The Albanese Labor Government has refused to rule out that mining companies will be forced to have compulsory union agreements to access production tax credits.
During the passage of the Future Made in Australia Production Tax Credits legislation in the
Senate this week Labor voted against an amendment that would have ruled out union
agreements being required.
It is now open to Treasurer Jim Chalmers to impose a so-called Community Benefit Principle
which will require union agreements on these mining projects if they want to access the tax
credits.
Despite what Mr Chalmers and Minister Madeleine King have been telling Western
Australians they are now in the position to impose this condition on these companies.
Madeleine King called me a liar when I raised this issue late last year but now the truth is out there.
If that is not their intent to make union agreements compulsory, why would they have voted
against an amendment put forward by the Coalition that specifically ruled out them out.
We know from the committee inquiry into this legislation that mining companies are
extremely concerned about these Community Benefit Principles.
The Government had an opportunity to put an end to those concerns but chose not to – we can only assume they want to impose such conditions to assist their union paymasters.
When asked about the Community Benefit Principles, the Australian Manufacturing Workers
Union told the Senate Economics Legislation Committee that they think all jobs borne from
Future Made in Australia investments must be unionised.
It’s obvious what the unions want, and the Albanese Labor Government has a strong track
record of delivering for the unions.
UNITED STATES TARIFFS - EXEMPTION IS A MUST
As US President Donald Trump confirms a blanket 25% tariffs on steel and aluminium via
Executive Order, it is critical for the Labor Government to continue to work to ensure an
exemption for Australia.
When the Coalition were in Government during President Trump’s first administration, there
were threats of tariffs on aluminium and steel. We were able to successfully have Australia
exempted from these tariffs back then. This has set the precedent. The current Government
must get the same result now.
A critical component of our success in 2017-18 was a strong ambassador. We had
Ambassador Hockey who helped Australia to successfully negotiate exemptions from United
States steel and aluminium tariffs.
The Ambassador to the US is one of the most critical diplomatic roles Australia has. Albanese handpicked Kevin Rudd for this position. Now Albanese and Rudd both have a big job to do.
What is important now is that the Trump Administration hears that there is a bipartisan
position in Australia to stand up for our national interest. And that national interest is best
served by a removal of the tariff for Australian aluminium and steel. There must be a
continued dialogue, and we should be doing everything we can through the relationships that we have into the Administration to try and see a reversal in the Executive Order.
We should be talking to those with expertise in the relationship and those who understand the Trump Administration well.
ALBANESE MISSING IN ACTION ON NATIONAL SECURITY
When Australians needed strong leadership, Mr Albanese was nowhere to be found
Last month, NSW Police uncovered a caravan packed with explosives — a potential
catastrophic act of terror waiting to happen on Australian soil. And yet, the Prime Minister
wasn’t told for nine days.
How is that even possible? NSW Premier Chris Minns was briefed almost immediately. He
and Mr Albanese even stood side by side at a press conference the next day. And yet Mr
Albanese claims he had no idea?
This isn’t just incompetence. This is a failure of leadership. Plain and simple.
Our own Federal Leader Peter Dutton has demanded an independent inquiry into how and
why the Prime Minister was left in the dark on a major national security threat.
While Labor ducks, weaves, and avoids responsibility, it is Peter Dutton once again leading
the way on national security and keeping Australians safe as he did his entire adult life as a
cop in QLD Police before entering Parliament.
DUTTON FORCED LABOR TO ACT ON ANTISEMITIC ATTACKS
This incompetent Albanese Labor Government has been dragged kicking and screaming into introducing strong mandatory penalties and new offences for antisemitic attacks only after Peter Dutton demanded action.
They even had to amend their own legislation just to keep up with the Coalition’s tougher
stance on hate crimes.
And in case anyone still has any doubt in their minds about the seriousness of this problem,
wait till you hear this.
Just in the past few days alone, we have seen a video The appalling video circulating online,
showing NSW healthcare workers displaying vile antisemitic behaviour -this is utterly
disgraceful and deeply disturbing.
The unprecedented rise in antisemitic hatred we have seen over the last 16 months is not just a concern for the Jewish community; it is a national crisis that demands a strong and unified response and unequivocal leadership.
Australia must stand firm against all forms of antisemitism. Our healthcare system must be a
place of safety, respect and dignity for all. The broader culture of this hospital must be
examined to ensure that this is nothing more than an isolated incident from rogue individuals.
No-one should ever feel unsafe in the hands of staff at a hospital because of their faith.
LABOR’S COST-OF-LIVING CATASTROPHE
All while security and live trade remain compromised, so is the economy.
Australians are struggling like never before and yet Mr Albanese still has the nerve to say
we’ll be “better off” under Labor?
Sorry Prime Minister! no one’s buying it anymore.
Guess what, under Labor’s economic mismanagement, we are now facing:
📉The longest period of sustained inflation since the 1980s.
📉 Core inflation stuck at 3.2% outside the RBA’s target for 12 straight quarters.
📉 Prices up 11% since Labor took office.
📉 Inflation under Labor averaging 4.1% compared to 2.2% under the Coalition.
🏠 12 interest rate hikes, hammering homeowners.
⚡ Energy bills up $1,000 despite Labor’s “promise” to cut them by $275.
📉 27,000 businesses collapsed under Labor’s watch.
💰 Record-breaking household recession, living standards in freefall.
🚨 A typical mortgage holder has paid an extra $50,000 in interest since Labor came to
power.
Labor can’t spin their way out of this disaster.
The reality is simple: Australians are worse off.
The solution is even simpler: Put a Dutton Coalition in Government.
We will fix the economy, drive down inflation, and get living standards back on track.
THE COALITION’S PLAN TO GET AUSTRALIA BACK ON TRACK
We can’t afford another three years of this mess that Labor has created.
Only Peter Dutton and the Coalition have a plan to restore Australia’s strength, prosperity,
and security.
A Dutton Coalition Government will:
✔ Fight cost-of-living pressures and lower inflation.
✔ Build a stronger economy and back small businesses.
✔ Deliver affordable, reliable energy, not Labor’s skyrocketing power bills.
✔ Fix the housing crisis and make home ownership possible again.
✔ Rebalance migration so infrastructure and housing can keep up.
✔ Keep Australians safe with stronger borders and better law enforcement.
✔ Deliver quality healthcare and end Labor’s bulk-billing crisis.
✔ Strengthen regional Australia, the backbone of our nation.
✔ Focus on practical outcomes for Indigenous Australians, not divisive activism.
✔ Cut government waste and put your money back where it belongs.
Australians deserve better.
Be sure to let everyone know that a only Dutton Coalition will Get Australia Back on Track.
