In 47 days time, Western Australians will go to the polls on March 8, and they will have a clear choice.
A clear choice between a WA Liberal team led by me, with the right priorities and the right solutions for West Australians, or a failed 8 year old Cook Labor Government which is out of time and out of solutions.
After 8 years of failure under the Cook Labor Government, it’s never been harder for Western Australians to put food on the table, put a roof over their head and access a hospital bed.
Today, the priorities of the Western Australians couldn’t be clearer, they want to be able to afford a home of their own, they want to know that in their hour of need, an ambulance will be available for them, they want to be able to live a life of dignity, where the necessities are not luxuries and they want to be able to work, live, recreate in a community that is safe.
The priorities of the Cook Labor Government stand in stark contrast to the priorities of Western Australians. Roger Cook has made his priorities clear, higher taxes for every household, vanity infrastructure projects, less police, a weaker health system and weakened regional services.
The priorities of the WA Liberals are West Australians priorities. We will slash the taxes, we will build the homes, we will recruit the police and we will cut the ramping.
Under the Cook Labor Government, Western Australians are having to choose between keeping the lights on and putting food on the table. At the same time the Cook Labor government has cost every household in WA over $7000 to fund their $10 billion train project blowout and they’ve chosen to raise taxes by $1000 per household since coming to office.
Only the WA Liberals can deliver the right solutions to fix the 8 years of failure and neglect of the Cook Labor Government.
Only a Mettam Liberal Government will end Roger Cook’s secret $3000 energy tax.
Only a Mettam Liberal Government will slash stamp duty for first homebuyers and downsizers.
Only a Mettam Liberal Government will build 100,000 new homes.
Only a Mettam Liberal Government will see an extra 800 police on the beat to keep West Australians safe.
When Western Australians go to the ballot box on March 8, they will ask themselves, am I better off after 8 years of a WA Labor Government?
Our task over the next 47 days is to show that only a Mettam Liberal Government has the right solutions for their priorities to build a better future for Western Australia.
Over the next 47 days, I look forward to joining every single one of you on the campaign trail, from Albany to Dawesville, to Scarborough and the Pilbara and everywhere else in between, to fight for the election of a Mettam Liberal Government.
