Fellow Liberals
I hope that you had a fantastic break over Christmas and New Year with your loved ones.
With less than two months to go until the State Election and a Federal Election that can be called at any time — both campaigns are in full swing.
Our candidates have been out listening to Western Australians across all State and Federal seats.
The feedback is the same: Mr Albanese is a weak and incompetent leader.
His bad decisions and wrong priorities have left our state and our nation worse off.
From skyrocketing inflation to out-of-control energy prices, a housing crisis and weak national security, Labor has failed Australians every single day.
And when it comes to basic values – Mr Albanese has been a complete failure.
Australia Day and our Australian Flag
As we look to celebrate Australia Day on 26 January 2025 our Leader Peter Dutton has made it clear: Australians should not be "ashamed of" celebrating Australia Day on the 26 the of January.
We celebrate it on the 26 because that marks the beginning of what we now call Australia.
We cannot change this fact.
The 26th of January is our national day.
Australians are sick and tired of being shamed to be proud Australians.
We have had a gutful of this attitude and being put upon by the elites.
Peter Dutton has made it clear.
A Dutton Coalition Government will, within 100 days of being elected, overturn Labor’s rule that means councils don’t have to hold citizenship ceremonies on Australia.
This will be a sign of pride and nationalism in our country – a move for Australia and Australians to be united, not divided – to stand up for what we believe in.
Our weak Prime Minister, in December 2022, provided flexibility to Councils to hold Australia Day citizenship ceremonies on or around Australia's national day.
Quite frankly, if the Prime Minister doesn’t have the strength of leadership to stand up to Mayors and others who don’t want to celebrate Australia Day, then our country is in more trouble than we first realised.
He also needs to remember that we are united as a country when we gather under one flag.
Peter Dutton has made clear that he will continue to stand in front of our one national flag.
The Prime Minister wants to be all things to all people.
When he stands in front of multiple flags, he sends a very confusing message.
No country serious about national unity asks its citizens to identify with different flags.
And to do so is to divide our country unnecessarily.
Every other western country unites under one flag.
The Indigenous flag and the Torres Strait Islander flag are not our national flags.
Let’s get our country - BACK ON TRACK
THE CHOICE
This election is a choice about Australia’s future. Australia can’t afford to continue on its current path.
Under Labor, inflation has been consistently higher than comparable economies.
This means higher costs for everyday essentials like groceries and insurance. High inflation means higher interest rates.
Last year, Australia was one of the few developed economies where interest rates did not come down. That makes housing even less affordable.
In the last two years, Australia has had the biggest fall in living standards in the developed world.
And small business bankruptcies are at a record high.
We need to do better than this.
Peter Dutton has released a document outlining the priorities of an elected Coalition government.
We live in the best country in the world.
But in the last three years, bad decisions have caused Australians to become worse off, our country to be less safe and our nation to be divided.
When a government gets its priorities wrong, things go wrong for the Australian people.
Peter Dutton and the Coalition are determined to get Australia back on track.
A Dutton Coalition Government will:
fight cost of living pressures.
build a stronger economy.
back small business.
deliver affordable and reliable energy; fix the housing crisis; rebalance our migration programme; keep Australians safe; deliver quality healthcare; grow a stronger regional Australia; focus on practical action for indigenous Australians; build strong and sustainable communities; and cut government waste.

LABOR’S RECORD
Labor has failed Australians – on inflation, energy prices, housing and security.
Inflation averaged 2.2% under the Coalition. It has averaged 4.5% under Labor.
Labor’s policies are making inflation worse.
Since Labor was elected, prices are up more than 10%.
This includes double digit increases across the board for essentials:
Health up 10%
Education up 11%
Food up 12%
Housing up 14%
Rents up 17%
Insurance & financial up 18%
Electricity up 32% (without rebates); and
Gas up 36%
The International Monetary Fund has projected that in 2025, Australia will have the second highest inflation of any developed country (after the Slovak Republic).
After 12 interest rate rises under Labor, Australia now has the highest interest rates since 2011.
And for the last 21 months, Australia has been in a per-capita recession – the longest household recession on record.
Labor has put the interests of union bosses ahead of small businesses and the economy.
Instead of focussing on a plan to strengthen our economy and tackle inflation, Labor has been focussed on other priorities, like its failed $500 million Voice referendum.
We just can’t afford three more years of Labor.
It is important to spread the word.
Between now and polling day, it is crucial to get our message out there.
Talk to your family.
Talk to your work colleagues.
Talk to your friends.
If they ask, let them know that our Leader Peter Dutton has outlined the priorities of a Coalition Government to get Australia back on track.
